Dunmore Nursery
For those of you
who have not discovered Dunmore Nursery yet, you are in for a colourful surprise
and it's right on your doorstep. It is the home of Andrea Crane who works tirelessly,
on her own, cultivating all her own bedding plants in 3 poly tunnels behind
her house - set back down a lane off Broad Street - first on the left by the
post box if coming down Oak Hill from the village or last on the right if travelling
from Rydes Hill.
Look out for the Dunmore Nursery sign and board. She stocks a wide range of
annuals and interesting cottage garden perennials and shrubs. Her hanging baskets
are full to the brim - all shapes and sizes, packed full of unusual plant combinations
as well as the traditional favourites such as trailing petunias and geraniums.
She creates them to last with good inner insulation and plant food pellets -
usually through till late September if one gives them the attention that they
deserve.
This year she is selling packs of multi purpose compost and grow bags and has
ventured into cut flowers and hand crafted wooden bowls. She is happy to deliver
to your door.
She is working with Help the Aged in an advisory capacity protecting the elderly from being exploited and over charged by gardening agencies. She visits their gardens to give practical advice and support. She can be contacted on 01483 575 873. You can always be sure of a warm welcome and individual attention if you find time to pay her a visit. At present she has a SALE and her hanging baskets are even better value.
